John Porter, president of Tradebank, has a heart for people and specifically for kids. While raising his four boys with his wife Debbi is a large commitment, they still feel a pull to help those in need. "I love kids and hate the thought of a child not getting the opportunity to enjoy their childhood because of financial circumstances."
City Kidz offers a reprieve for children from otherwise challenging circumstances. In the time he and his staff have gotten to see the City Kidz organization in action, they truly feel that City Kidz are giving the kids they serve a step up and a chance to succeed.
John knows that through Tradebank he is able direct donations to City Kidz that otherwise would not have been received. These donations have allowed City Kidz to have renovations on their building, have fresh water for the kids, pay to print brochures and participate in events that there otherwise would not have been money for.
According to Tradebank's controller, Gavin Duncan CA, "I have had conversations with a number clients who wouldn't normally donate much to charities, but through Tradebank have been able to increase their donations significantly."
We all have a responsibility to give back to the community, and from what I have seen and in discussions with the upper management at Tradebank they are fulfilling this responsibility.
